DEMDACO designer JohannahMiller fell in love with art from her first scribbles on her mother’s best sketch pad. Growing up, her family moved often. But it was during her time as an Au Pair in southern Germany that she truly experienced life beyond borders. Johannah says, “There is something about my transient nature that influences my interpretation of home.”The longest she’d ever been settled, her three years in Nuremberg shaped her. She found family formed through simple acts, things l ike cooking and helping with homework. She shares her philosophy saying these kinds of simple, loving moments become anchors in our journey. She adds, “We draw our lines between them." Johannah believes people experience home in different ways —i t's a feeling. For her, home is where her art supplies are.
