Do it Yourself: Winter Décor Inspo

Something that's very 'in' this year is handmade décor. The whole handcrafted 'hey, look I made this' style. And honestly, we love it!

We love designing our own décor too, and we understand the proud satisfaction of getting to use and display these works of art in your home.

So if you feel like channeling your inner elf, try your hand at creating your own winter home décor, to offer your guests a bright atmosphere for all your holiday parties and get togethers! Maybe you can get a job with Santa too … after some practice of course.

How to Decorate a Holiday Wreath

How To Make a Holiday Wreath

First, start with your wreath base. We like using a grapevine wreath base. Weave the greenery of your choice through the base. Make sure it’s nice and full so you can decorate it completely and it will hold all your ornaments and accessories safely. We then recommend choosing a solid colored set of ornaments that will complement your design aesthetic, ex. silver, gold, red or green. Also opt in for a little natural touch, such as pinecones and berries. You can secure these on with a little hot glue. Then add your eye-catching accents. You shouldn’t need too many ‘big’ accents for them to make a statement. Use the ornaments' strings to secure them onto the greenery. If you need more support, we like to use the same colored string as the ornament or greenery so it stays hidden, but does the job. Then display your work of art and get ready for all the compliments!
