The Artist
The desire to create struck Nathan Murrell at a young age. After attending an American Indian powwow at age 10, he was motivated to learn as much about native dance and craft as he could, forging a lifelong passion in art. Inspired by architecture, s cience, history, the natural world, and even story telling, Nathan aspires to incorporate a depth of discovery into his work. Using mixed media, he focuses first on simple, direct imagery as the main thrust of a piece, then creates layers of color, t exture, and physical space to add mystery and interest. Upon completion, he hopes his work engages the viewer’s curiosity and imagination in unique interaction.
