My mother has been getting pieces of this nativity set that I have picked out for mine and my boyfriend's apartment in a few years. I got this part of the set last year and am absolutely in love with it. I love Willow Tree products, and when I found this set, I knew I had to have it! Can't wait until I have the finished set!

The main thing I love about Willow Tree figurines is tht they have no facial features. Your imagination is left to put a face to the figurine you have. i've always loved my Nativity set and because they have no faces i can imagine the beauty. I think its wonderful that one writer here says she loves the face of Virgin Mary as she looks down at her child. that statement makes my point far better than anything i could say. Susan's Virgin Mary has the perfect face and is probably totally different than the perfect face of someone else's Mary. Thank you for being there and having a figurine to commemorate every special moment in my life.

My husband purchased the Nativity for my Christmas gift the first year we were married. It came from our church bookstore and some how the groups were mis sold so when I started opening the set that morning all the wonderful pieces were there but the donkey? He did not see what the big deal was until I explained that was how they got there! After a few phone calls the next week, the donkey arrived and has a special place each year as the first thing to go up and the last thing to be packed away. It also carries a small note. "My wife's "Donkey."

My mom passed away in 2006 from breast cancer. She was a collector of Willow Tree. I was a collector of Nativities but did not have the Willow Tree nativity collection. I inherited my Mom's Willow Tree collection including the Nativity. I have left it up all year this year on my dresser in my bedroom as a reminder of my mother, and also as a reminder of the greatest gift we were given, Jesus Christ. I am in hopes I will be able to get the entire collection one day. Thank you Willow Tree for you beautiful creations!

September of 2011 my mother was living in another state with my sister because of various medical issues. She was getting along fine and insisted that I come and that we do her Christmas shopping. While shopping we came across the Willow Tree Nativity. She was determined to get this for me for Christmas so that I would have something to remember her by. We laughed about her determination to complete her shopping, me going home with the final purchases to make there and to order the Nativity online. Two weeks later, she passed on. The following day the Nativity arrived at my doorstep. I will treasure these pieces always!

I have been looking for the perfect Nativity set to introduce to our new home. My husband and I just got married over a year ago and found this one together. We thought it was the perfect fit to our new home and a perfect piece to admire as we start our life together. Thanks.

I bought The Christmas Story a few weeks ago and I have it in my living room. Every time I walk past it, it takes my breath away, it is so beautiful. I also have the Willow Tree Nativity which is beautiful as well. Since rediscovering my faith these pieces remind me that God is always with me. Thank you Susan Lordi for all of your beautiful figurines and angels. I now have 60+ and still collecting!

I have two wonderful children, a son & daughter, and a grandchild. Since the Christmas Story is so very important to my husband and I we purchased the Willow Tree Nativity for them last year for Christmas. Now each Christmas we can add pieces for them to cherish and to tell the great story of Christ to their children. I went to purchase pieces at our local store the other day, and explained what I was doing. This young lady heard me and said, "What a wonderful idea. I wish my mom would do that!" My children love the pieces, and it's been nice for me to know what I'm giving each year. They don't know which piece they'll get, so it's still a surprise. Thank you for using your wonderful talent and sharing it with the world. God bless you.

I was given a Willow Tree Angel several years ago as a gift. I fell in love with it and now have 36 of them. My kids all have my list of the ones I have and the ones I would like to have and they buy them for me for Christmas, birthdays, etc. Last year my three kids and their spouses all went together and bought me the nativity set which is my prized possession. This year, April 7th, my husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and my son and his family bought us the Promises Angel and it was mounted on a base that said "Carl and Tresa, 4/7/62." What a very special gift that was and it is front and center of my collection. Please keep the angels coming. They are cherished by me.

I received this set as a wedding present earlier in the year. It was such a joy to place the pieces in our new home and not only cherish the wonder of Christ's birth, but also the love surrounding the special gift. Thank you for a beautiful new tradition for our new family!

My 23-year-old daughter is a very giving person. I had been displaying my parent's Nativity each Christmas that they had bought in Germany before I was born, when my father was stationed in the Army there. It was very special to me but was showing its wear, with many chips and breaks. This bothered my daughter more than I realized. So with her own money, this year she bought me the beginning set for Christmas, which I love and will cherish. It is extra special to me because she bought it and felt I should have something nice. She told me yesterday that when she gets married, she would like to have this set also. That is how special this set is to us. When I look at it, I think of how special she is to me.

I lost my Mother in September of 2011 which made this past Christmas season very difficult for me and my family. A very good friend gave me the Remembrance Angel, I'm sure that this will be the start of new collection for me. My mother and I have always enjoyed looking at the Willow Tree Nativity set and thought "someday we will get this set." I decided that I would purchase this set in memory of her. That way each year when I set it up I will always have her with me. Thank you for making such a wonderful memory for me.

I had looked for a nativity set but was turned away by the ones that Mary is not holding her baby. All new mothers that I know do not put their babies down! The moment I saw Willow Tree's set I was hooked! I keep it up all year long because the love on Mary's face when she is looking at her baby is too beautiful to put away! My tree is also all Willow Tree! Thank you!

My sister and I gave my daughter the Nativity and all the pieces. My sister bought me Sisters by Heart, Generations, and this Christmas she gave me Grandmother, and With My Grandmother. I know of no other artist who can capture the true essence of love the way you can. I have been blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, and I want to thank you for giving me a reminder of how lucky I am. I have given my son-in-law some as well, and he really likes them. God bless.

My daughter was born on Christmas Night. We began buying her Willow Tree angels for all of her special occasions and the Nativity for her first Christmas home with us. The coloring of the angel's faces are similar to hers, which I love. I continue to buy her the angels and new nativity pieces as they come. She is truly our Christmas angel. Her birth was a miracle from heaven. She will be able to pass on these beautiful figurines to her children someday and tell her story.

My name is Anita and I had been collecting the Holy Family for years. I had finally gotten all of the collection for Christmas 09. On Dec. 31,2009 my home burnt and all of my collection was gone. I have really missed them the past two Christmases. This year my son started my collection again with Joseph and Mary and Baby Jesus. I was so happy. I will start collecting them all again because of my love for them.

My husband bought my first piece "Home" a few years ago and I fell in love with the figurines. He purchsed the whole Nativity scene for me with extra angels, stands and pedestals for Christmas and birthday this year. Needless to say, I am "hooked." It's almost becoming an obsession with me. The stories are so touching and I feel like these figurines are definitely a part of our family. I purchased a Nativity portrait to hang behind my Willow Tree and it is so beautiful. I will be leaving the set up all year long because it is so lovely. My husband has already planned on purchasing me the Christmas Story along with the Sanctuary and animals for Valentine's Day this year. I feel like I have a story to share with people who come to visit without making a big "to do" about it. Thank you for creating such beautiful works of art that tell a story as well bringing a smile to my face when I look upon them. Submitted By: Connie

I started buying Willow Tree for my wife Leela for birthdays etc. She really loved the pieces and how significant each piece was to us and our life together. Sadly Leela passed away in November 2009 from cancer very shortly after diagnosis. We have a daughter Olivia who was just 2 and a half years old when Leela died and I have continued to collect them for her now as she likes them also. I've just bought her the Nativity and the 3 Wise Men, and also a few other pieces that will go on display also. They are a constant reminder to me of my lovely wife and the happy times we shared when she received them. Thank you Susan for your extreme skill and thoughtfulness in your choice of wording and title for the sculptures.

My Grandma and I were very close and we both shared a love for the Willow Tree collection. When she passed away about three years ago she left each of the grandchildren money to buy something to remember her by. After much consideration I purchased the Willow Tree Nativity. It reminded me of her because we both shared our love for Christmas and the Willow Tree collection. Now I keep it out year around to help me remember her by. I was also blessed because I inherited her Willow Tree collection. Although I miss my Grandma, every time I look at the collection it makes me miss her a little less.

My family has enjoyed this nativity set for a couple of years now. In June of this year, our hometown of Minot was affected by the massive flooding of the Souris River. We got all of our possessions out of our house, or so we thought. There was about 6 and 1/2 feet of water on our main floor. On the day that we "gutted" or stripped our basement, we found a box in one of the basement closets. The outside of the box said Willow Tree on it. I was so scared that our nativity set had been destroyed. After all, it had been sitting in 8ft of river water for 2 and 1/2 weeks. But when we opened the box, the figurines were in perfect condition. The water had not destroyed them. No mold or anything. This set survived the Mouse River Flood of 2011, and the message of the figures has and will survive forever. The nativity will sit in our living room as soon as our home is fixed. All year round. We will share our story with all who enter our home.
