Meet the Artist

Holly Christine Moody loves finger painting and singing with her first grader students as she inspires them to be themselves. As an artist herself, Holly loves to surround herself with bright colors and finds that through art, she is able to truly relax. She hopes that these two passions, combined with her faith, will bring cheer and inspire others. She aspires for her art to be a bright spot in people’s homes that reminds them to have hope and embrace love.

Laura McCarragher, Connie Berends, and Jill Brown are a mother-and-daughters artist force who have been creating and showing their work together for over 10 years. The creative trio has taken their painting to a new level by incorporating paper and other mixed media that fuse elements of collage and paint. Their work is full of hope, humor and whimsy and celebrates faith and family. Their goal is to use positive and encouraging messages that not only speak truth into their own lives but others' as well.

Deb Hrabik uses color, movement and texture in the layered paint designs of her home accents. She is inspired by the colors of the earth and the way they sit beside one another. Deb hopes her artwork reaches Home “Makers” who fashion their spaces with design that warms and welcomes.

Julie Chen wrote in her first grade journal: “When I grow up, I want to be an artist and a missionary.” She spent many days as a young child drawing and doodling in journals and notebooks. In high school, she worked endlessly on new projects. While pregnant with her third child, Julie began visually illustrating the Word of God as a personal act of worship. Desiring Scripture art in her own home as reminders of truth and beauty, she combined her skills as an illustrator, designer, and photographer to bring the Bible to life in a unique way. By digitally manipulating photography and collaging the imagery with text, Julie encourages others with the power of the Word and the beauty of creation, fulfilling her childhood dream.

Kelly Rae Roberts started her career as a social worker but later decided to follow her heart’s passion to become an artist. When she finally put paint onto paper, Kelly discovered a whole new world. Her unique look of layered mixed-media includes acrylics, oils, collage and ink. Her art expresses honesty and tenderness while remaining lighthearted and colorful. Kelly hopes her work invokes a sense of clarity and peace inside of people as they walk their own path in life, and that it inspires them to discover their own limitlessness.
